STONE FAMILY LP

My great, great grandfather, Eberlee Peyton Harrison Stone (B:1837 D:1905), brought our family to the state of Texas in 1865 at the conclusion of the Civil War. He joined the Illinois Infantry August 20, 1861 and rose to the rank of Captain. He was discharged in Houston, Texas at the end of the conflict on November 6, 1865. Houston's area population at that time was approximately 5,000.

 

​​My father, Ted Stone, founded his initial real estate company to develop land and build homes in 1955 while attending Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas. He eventually sold those businesses to national homebuilder Nash Phillips Copus (NPC) and moved to Dallas to begin developing across Texas. During the 1970's his group of companies began acquiring, developing and making direct investments in commercial real estate. This legacy generated the interest and involvement of myself and my brother in the commercial real estate industry.​​​
